AMZ XTREME WHOLESALE (PTY) LTD
01 Cookies we use on amzxtreme.com
This policy sets out what cookies and similar technologies amzxtreme.com places on your device, what each one does, and how long it stays there. It replaces our earlier, shorter cookie notice and takes effect in October 2026. Where a cookie holds information that identifies you, we treat it as personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
Category | Cookies and providers | What it does | Retention
Essential / strictly necessary — Session ID, login token, CSRF security token (set by us) — Keeps you signed in, protects forms from cross-site request forgery, manages your session — Until you close the browser
Analytics — ga and _ga* via gtag.js (Google Analytics 4); Vibe script — Counts pageviews, session duration, device type and traffic source so we can improve the site — 13 months
Marketing / advertising — _fbp via the fbq pixel (Meta); Google Ads conversion tag — Records visits so we can show retargeting ads on Facebook and Instagram and measure Google Ads conversions — 90 days
Preferences — Language and theme settings (set by us) — Remembers the language and the light or dark theme you chose — 12 months
Essential cookies cannot be switched off: signing in and submitting forms stop working without them.
Cookies set by other companies
Some cookies come from the third parties whose tools we use. Google sets cookies through gtag.js for Analytics 4, through the older analytics.js on pages that still load it, and through its Google Ads conversion tag. Meta sets the _fbp cookie through its fbq pixel. Vibe, our lightweight analytics script, sets its own cookie. We do not control how these companies use the data afterwards, so please read their own privacy notices as well.
A cookie consent banner is not live yet
We must ask you to accept or reject non-essential cookies before they are set, and building that banner is a pending development task. Until it is built and tested, only essential cookies are set by default, and analytics and marketing cookies stay switched off.
02 How to control and delete cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser at any time, and you can opt out of Google Analytics and Meta advertising using the tools those companies provide. Blocking essential cookies will stop parts of the site, such as signing in, from working.
Chrome: Open Settings, choose Privacy and security, then Third-party cookies. Select Block third-party cookies, or delete individual cookies under See all site data and permissions.
Firefox: Open Settings, choose Privacy & Security, then Cookies and Site Data. Use Manage Exceptions to block a site, or Clear Data to remove stored cookies.
Safari: On iPhone, iPad or Mac, open Settings (or Safari, then Settings on a Mac), choose Privacy, then Manage Website Data. Remove individual sites or block cookies for all sites.
Edge: Open Settings, choose Cookies and site permissions, then Manage and delete cookies and site data. Turn on Block third-party cookies or remove saved cookies.
Opting out of analytics and advertising
Google provides an Analytics opt-out browser add-on, and Meta lets you turn off personalised ads in its ad preferences. Both stop the analytics and advertising cookies without affecting the rest of the site.
Your POPIA rights and how to reach us
Where cookie data identifies you, you may ask what we hold, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to our using it. Write to revive@amzxtreme.com and we will answer within the time POPIA allows.
